8/20/2024 0 Comments Building Christmas trees....This is what it looks like when I'm building Christmas trees. I glue each piece of glass in and then I use my blue glass as a wedge to hold the piece in place until the glue sets. I've learned to use the blue glass as my wedges because I discovered that sometimes I miss removing a wedge. I've had instances where I'm giving someone a tree and I notice a loose wedge piece still in it. Sometimes I have to balance a tile on top of it to hold the piece in the proper position. Other times I have to build a pile of tiles up the side of the tree to keep that one piece of glass in place until it dries. I can usually do 2 layers at a time in the morning and leave it to dry until early afternoon then add another 2 layers. It takes approximately 2 weeks to complete a tree and I'm usually working on 4 at a time. #beachwalk #seaglass #seaglassart #seaglassartist #seaglassartwork #seaglasstree #seaglasscollector #seaglassaddict #SeaGlassChristmasTrees #selftaughtartist
