![]() I really enjoy watercolor painting but with the demands on producing all the different sea glass creations that I make there just hasn't been time. I'm finally in a place where I can take some time out and paint! Happy, happy! I went onto YouTube and looked up one of the people who inspire me, @DianneAntonStudios. Sure enough she had these tutorials on some cute little birds so away I went. Then from there I decided to go on to paint a couple flowers - they are a staple with me. Unfortunately I only have regular card stock which really isn't what should be used for the wet on wet painting technique. Although the cards really soaked up the water I put on the paper I was able to apply more which the card really didn't like but I did manage to create these lovely cards. They were quite warped out of shape so after they initially dried I gave them a light water spray on the back side then pressed them between 2 sheets of cardboard with weight on top. I left that overnight and the cards are now nice and flat. LOL the things I go through for my art. I decided that I want to paint on cards going forward so I can offer them at the market along side my sea glass cards. Maybe I can practice more using the wet on dry technique. I guess it's something I will have to experiment with but I REALLY like the wet on wet because of the freedom of the paint and it's ability to just go where it wants and create unique designs. I'm pretty sure I will be sourcing out watercolor paper invitation cards soon. Hopefully I'm successful and they don't cost me an arm and a leg. #watercolorpaintings #watercolorcards #watercolorbirds #selftaughtartist #iamanartist #myrockpaperart #watercolorart #watercolorartist
